Why have a domain name?

A domain name enables you to name a website hosted on a server instead of using a number. Without this domain name, you would have to name a website by its IP address

What is a domain renewal?

Renewal is extending the domain validity for a given period of time (from 1-10 years according to its extension)

When should I renew my domain name?

If you would like to avoid domain name suspension, renew it at least 15 days before the expiry date shown in the whois database.

DOMAIN TRANSFER & RENEWAL

What is a domain transfer?

Transfer is a change of a registrar (company which is entitled to register and manage domains). Transfer price includes a registration fee for one year and for the remaining time that is left at your current provider.

Who may order a domain transfer?

Transfer may only be requested by the owner of a domain. If the transfer application is put forward by someone else, it is automatically rejected.

Why should I transfer a domain to you?

  • To limit the number of necessary actions required to transfer a domain.
  • You don’t have to renew your domain at one ISP and the hosting service at another
  • To have direct access to managed domains.

How is the transfer conducted?

Transfer requires 3 steps:

1st step – a request for confirmation is sent to all contacts indicated in whois database. It may last up to 5 days.
2nd step – Check of the domain status. (Must have an ACTIVE status in whois).
3rd step – Send a transfer request to your registrar. To avoid frequent refusals, we encourage you to contact your former provider beforehand.
